The Insider Checks Into Rehab
Pat O'Brien says he has a problem with alcohol.
Television host Pat O'Brien has checked himself into an alcohol recovery program. The 57-year-old O'Brien said in a statement, "Overcoming this problem is a top priority in my life, and I am excited to return to work as soon as I am able. I am overwhelmed by all the love and support from my family, friends and colleagues in the industry."
While he's in rehab, O'Brien's show, "The Insider," a spinoff to "Entertainment Tonight," will be hosted by Lara Spencer, his East Coast correspondent. No word on exactly how long he will be receiving treatment.
