iPods Aplenty

Apple reveals latest iPod products with more memory and a steeper price.

It has been said that the rate of new technological advances increases exponentially over the years.

It's all Apple's fault.

Yet again, Apple has released upgraded versions of their products, this time iPhone and iPod Touch. The amount of memory each item can hold has been doubled, meaning double the amount of music, photos, and videos customers can carry in their pocket. Now just double the price.

Well, that may be an exaggeration. The new 16GB iPhone sells for $499, while the 8GB version is one hundred dollars less. iPod touch now comes in a 32GB model and is also priced at $499.

"For some users, there's never enough memory," said Greg Joswiak, Apple's vice president of iPod and iPhone Product Marketing, on Apple Inc.'s latest press release.

Today, Apple leads the industry with its award-winning computers, OS X operating system and applications. It also is the leader of the digital media revolution because of its portable music and video players and online stores. The iPhone has now allowed them to dominate the mobile phone market.

How long until they come out with iLife? Oh wait, they already have.
