ISolated INcident - Case Closed

Dane Cook's year long tour comes to a close in Ft. Lauderdale.

Florida residents and many tourists who were in town for Superbowl weekend, filled the Bank Atlantic Center on Saturday for some pre-game comedy courtesy of Dane Cook.

A Comedy Central staple and hyperactive actor featured in many films such as Employee of the Month and My Best Friend's Girl, brought his year-long tour to a close in front of nearly 15,000 people.

The final show aired live on Dane Cook's official website as well as on Pay-Per-View. The enthusiastic comic uses observational humor, exaggerated impressions, quirky analogies and man-made sound effects to provoke laughs as he spoke about girls, relationships, his parents and hate mail.

Cook’s claim to fame comes from his down-to-earth aura and charismatic story telling. Although often criticized for his “hollow, energetic talent” and “relentless self-promotion,” he is undeniably the one of the most influential pinnacles in comedy of our time.

ISolated INcident further cemented Cook into comedy history, filling arenas mostly reserved for the Spear’s and Mayer’s of the world. Yet, amid high-pitched, estrogen-filled, shrieks and screams from the mostly female crowd, perhaps “energetic talent” and “relentless self-promotion” are the very elements needed to carve a place in popular culture history.

The material shared with nearly one-million fans nationwide was a reinvented Dane, complete with highly sensitive undertones amidst casual humor and a re-vamped sexier image.
