Italian actress Monica Bellucci appeared in nude scene in 'That Summer' one month after giving birth

Only one month after giving birth, actress Monica Bellucci stripped down for a nude scene in the film That Summer.

Bellucci admitted that when she was asked to post nude in the film she was in a "fragile moment as a woman," but maintained that she felt protected by director Philippe Garrel.

The Associated Press reports that Bellucci said it was an act of generosity for her to appear nude in the film.

According to Monsters and Critics, the scene shows the Italian actress, 46, lying on a bed naked. She portrays Angele, the adulterous wife of a painter, in That Summer, which is in competition at the Venice Film Festival.

“When one accepts to work with a director one relies on that person,” said Bellucci at a press conference for the film this week. Also describing the scene as “abandonment,” she said “I felt respected and protected.”
