Fans of the hit FX comedy, "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" can now see their favorite foul-mouthed characters on-stage.
Members of the show's cast, including Rob McElhenny, Glenn Howerton and Academy Award-nominated actor/filmmaker Danny DeVito, will be touring six major U.S. cities in September with "The Nightman Cometh," a musical adaptation of the program's fourth season finale, reports Entertainment Weekly.
Performances of "Nightman" will begin Sept. 15 in Boston, followed by shows in New York, Seattle, San Francisco and, of course, Philadelphia, before wrapping up in Los Angeles on Sept. 25, according to the Washington Post.
The genesis for the show's tour came when concert promotion company Live Nation heard the cast perform several numbers during an appearance at Los Angeles's Troubadour club.
The titular character is brought to life through song when two of the characters in "Philadelphia" form a rock band, according to Entertainment Weekly. The Nightman is the result of "mental and physical abuse."
