It's a Boy for Nicole Richie and Joel Madden

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have welcomed their second child together, a baby boy, Sparrow James Midnight Madden. The happy news was announced on Richie's official website this afternoon.

Baby Sparrow made his debut into the world in the early morning hours of September 9, giving him the date of birth 09-09-09. He was born in Los Angeles, Calif weighing in at 7 lbs, 14 oz.

The website announcement reads, "Nicole, Joel, Harlow and Sparrow are all doing
well. Thank you for all of your good wishes."

The couple announced the pregnancy in February, with Madden saying, "I am so happy to tell everyone that Harlow is going to be a big sister! God has truly blessed my family. Hope you're all feeling as good as I am right now."

This is the second child for the couple who are also parents to Harlow Winter Kate, 20 months.
