It's Sandler vs. Black at the Box Office This Weekend

For this weekend match up at the box office, we're going to see You Don't Mess with the Zohan, starring Adam Sandler, as well as Kung Fu Panda, starring Jack Black and Angelina Jolie. Both films are set to make about the same money, but is there one that is going to win out?

Black's Kung Fu Panda has been in the works since the Cannes Film Festival where it showed for the first time to good reviews. Sandler's Zohan only recently started with its previews, but is sure to make out with the fans and those loyal to the actor/songwriter.

Panda is to pull in at least $40 million while Zohan is to bring in about $35 milion and may be able to compete with Panda for the top spot, according to Reuters. "I think they're going to be neck and neck," said Paramount Vice Chairman Rob Moore to Reuters.

The main difference between the two is going to be their target audiences. Kung Fu Panda, by Dreamworks Animation, is set more towards the younger crowd while Sandler's You Don't Mess with the Zohan is aimed at the male audience fan base, according to Reuters.
