It's Twin Girls for Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker

The couple welcomed twin girls via a surrogate.

Actors Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker are new parents to twin baby girls, according to People magazine. The couple welcomed daughters Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick and Tabitha Hodge Broderick Monday afternoon in Ohio. Marion weighed in at 5 lbs., 11 oz., while Tabitha was exactly 6 lbs. The twin girls were delivered by a surrogate mother.

Hodge and Elwell are family names from Parker's side of the family.

"The babies are doing beautifully and the entire family is over the moon," the couple said in a statement released Tuesday.

Marion and Tabitha, who were due in July, join big brother James Wilkie, 6. Sarah Jessica, 44, and Matthew, 47, have been married 12 years.

Parker has sung praises of the surrogate that carried her children. She told People magazine in May that the surrogate was "a strong woman who made an incredibly generous and gracious choice" for the family.
