Iverson Out Shoots Bryant for the Third Straight 76er's Win
Iverson out shoots Bryant and the Lakers in a close game, ending in 83-81.
Kobe Bryant couldn't size up to the competition in the Lakers-76er's game, which ended in an 83-81 win for the 76er's. In the final seconds of the game, Alan Iverson sank a long range jump shot, giving Philadelphia the lead. Kobe Bryant then missed a jumper with five seconds left in the game, leading to the 76er's third straight win. Bryant was second in scoring points, three behind Chris Mihm, who scored 20 points during the game.
At Cleveland, LeBron James came closer to breaking the record of becoming the youngest player to score 4,000 career points in NBA history. With only 10 points to go, James (age 20) will surpass Bryant (age 21) most likely at the Cavalier game in Orlando on Sunday.
