Iverson to Sign with Grizzlies?
Allen Iverson has reportedly received a contract offer from the Memphis Grizzlies.
ESPN is reporting that the Memphis Grizzlies have offered free agent guard Allen Iverson a contract. Exact details of the contract offer to the 10-time All-Star have not been disclosed.
FoxSports.com is also confirming that Iverson has said he's received an offer to play for the Memphis Grizzlies, informing the public through his Twitter page. FoxSports.com reports that Iverson is receiving a one-year contract worth $5 million.
However, fantasy sports Web site Rotoworld is denying these reports, stating, "Contrary to an earlier report, the Grizzlies are not confirming that they've made an offer to Allen Iverson."
Iverson is coming off his worst season, averaging a career-low 17.5 points per game and only appearing in 57 games.
