Jack Black Keeps It Real

Comedian and actor Jack Black realizes that mega movie success is fleeting, and he always keeps a backup plan, WENN reports.

The actor still has his mom keep a spare room for him, in case he falls on hard times. It was his mother's hospitality that allowed him to pursue a movie career, when he was still struggling to make it big over a decade ago.

"I started working in movies in 1991 and did nine years of treading water with small parts, going back and living at my mum's house rather than getting a real job," Black recalls.

When things started looking up for the actor, he was able to move out, but he refuses to become over-confident and still keeps a realistic appraisal of how secure he is in the movie industry.

"I don't live at my mom's any more," Black says. However, "she still keeps my room ready, just in case."
