Jack Black Signs for Spoof Adventure Flick
Funny man Jack Black has climbed on board for a new Universal comedy. The flick, "The Lost Adventures of Stone Perlmutter Jr.," is an adventure comedy that spoofs films such as the Indiana Jones series. The movie takes a faux documentary approach to the story, pretending to be taken from long-lost and newly rediscovered footage from 1979. Perlmutter journeys the globe searching for ancient mysteries like the tomb of Christ, the Yeti, and even the lost city of El Dorado on an ill-fated voyage. The flick's script was written by former "Late Show with David Letterman," "King of the Hill," and "Frasier" writers Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck. Jack Black will produce and star in the movie, reports IGN Entertainment.
The actor's last project to hit theaters was the romantic comedy "The Holiday," co-starring Jude Law, Cameron Diaz, and Kate Winslet. Look for Black in "Margot at the Wedding," and "Be Kind Rewind," set for release later this year.
