Jackson De-Masked, and Demoralized

Gloves and masks, the perfect accessory.

It was hard enough being the only white person I knew that said O.J. Simpson was innocent (because a jury found him so). I tend to wear rose-colored everything and give people the benefit of the system, at its best, but its getter harder each day to do so. In Glenwood Springs, CO, on Tuesday, Michael Jackson was pulled over while wearing a ski mask. He'd been shopping at a Wal-Mart and one of the employees called the police, gave a description of the vehicle, and voila, off the mask came. Although Jackson's spokeswoman, Raymone Bain, said the incident was not important and Lt. Bill Kimminau said he was pulled over and there was nothing more to it, it still begs the question, why doesn't he just try and act normal, and lie low?

For those that don't recognize the name of the "King of Pop," probably THE most influential singer in pop phenomena, perhaps you will recall his name in connection with his current enmeshed predicament, where he has been charged, arrested, and then released pending trial for child molestation.

Amid rumors that he had checked himself into a drug rehabilitation center in CO, spokeswoman Bain said "Mr. Jackson was enjoying his getaway until ... someone deliberately and viciously began reaching out to media organizations with this claim."

According to Bain, Jackson is vacationing in Colorado on the behest of his children, who wanted to "see snow." Their mother, Debbie Rowe, is seeking full custody and officially challenging her custody agreement with Jackson over six-year-old, Prince Michael I, and five-year-old, Paris, two of the singer's children, as he has became closely linked to a group condemned for its "anti-Semitic" stance.

I guess now would be a good time for him to just order in and watch the snow on television.
