Jackson Indicted and Arraigned On Ten Counts
The masked one wasn't wearing anything but a smile this morning. Although his bodyguards kept him pretty well shielded from fan and protest spectators, he could still be seen shaking hands and smiling as he made his way to the courthouse. Strange behavior, many legal experts say, especially considering new charges have been levied against the pop star in today's arraignment in Santa Maria California. Jackson pleaded not guilty this morning, April 31st to the 10-count indictment that included charges of child molestation, extortion, attempting a child abduction, false imprisonment and giving a minor an intoxicating agent.
In a move that is precedent, Santa Barbara County Superior Court Judge Rodney Melville has made it clear that although the lawyers will be given full access to the whole indictment, the public will be shown only small portions of the indictment, but that small portions would indeed be released. Makes you wonder what else there could be? Let's hope the Moonwalker is still smiling as the trial goes forward.
