Jackson Memorial Open to Entire World

Now fans from all over the world can enter for the chance to bid the "King of Pop" farewell.

Now the world can participate in remembering an icon. Officials planning the Michael Jackson memorial service to be held Tuesday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles have opened the lottery for tickets to the entire world, according to TMZ.com.

According to the Associated Press, only 17,500 tickets for the service will be randomly handed out to fans. Meanwhile, 11,000 will be for the Staples Center and the remaining 6,500 will be for the Nokia Theater across the street, which will carry live feed of the memorial. The deadline for entering the drawing at StaplesCenter.com is 6 p.m. Pacific Time.

A law enforcement official recently confirmed that the drug Diprivan, a sedative used in operating to rooms to make people unconscious, was found in Jackson's home. Jackson's cause of death is still unknown.

According to the New York Daily News, if you don't have a ticket to Tuesday's memorial, stay home, as the perimeter will be blocked off and only those with tickets will be allowed to enter. The only ones without tickets allowed to pass through the area are 11 elephants who will making their way through in order for circus officials to set up for the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey event the next day.
