Jackson's Attorneys Make Requests at Pretrial Meeting

Michael Jackson jury to be chosen January 31

A judge in the Michael Jackson molestation case will hear requests by both sides in a pretrial hearing today in Santa Maria, California. It is one of two pre-trial meetings before the jury is selected on January 31. Jackson's legal team will be trying to stop a child-abuse expert from testifying in the case as well as the judge from referring to the accuser as "the victim," instead Jackson would like them to be referred to by name or as "complaining witnesses." The attorneys will also be deciding the wording and questions to be included on a jury-selection questionnaire. Jackson was indicted in April on multiple counts of molestation, one count of conspiracy involving child abduction, extortion and false imprisonment. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
