Jackson's Cardiologist Identified
The cardiologist who was present when Michael Jackson went into cardiac arrest has been identified.
According to E! Online, KHOU, a television station in Houston, has identified the doctor as Dr. Conrad Robert Murray, who lived with the singer at his mansion. The station received information from the Acres Home Heart and Vascular Institute, who confirmed that Murray was the one who performed CPR on Jackson.
The Associated Press reports that the cardiologist practiced in Texas, California and Nevada. No complaints have been filed against him, the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners said on its Web site. Los Angeles police said they want to question him and that he is not under investigation.
His office in Houston said they have not been able to reach Murray, New York Daily News reports. They confirmed that he was "on tour" with Jackson. Murray's BMW was impounded after Jackson died, and police said the car might contain evidence that could help determine the cause of the singer's death.
