Jadakiss Hit With Drug and Weapons Charges

The post Fourth of July festivities may have gotten a little out of hand for rapper Jadakiss, who was hit with drug and weapons charges after being pulled over in Fayetteville, North Carolina, on Monday.

The rapper and several members of his entourage were pulled over by police after they were spotted throwing lit fireworks from the window of the RV in which they were traveling. Once pulled over, police discovered a small amount of marijuana, as well as two loaded handguns in the vehicle. According to several published reports, Jadakiss, whose real name is Jason Phillips, took responsibility for the RV, and was charged with possession of marijuana, and carrying concealed weapons.

Jadakiss and his seven-person crew were in North Carolina for a performance promoting his new album Kiss of Death, which debuted last week at number one, and holds the number four position this week.
