Jaguars to Play Games In Orlando?
Yahoo! Sports is reporting that the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars could be playing some games in Orlando according to the Orlando Sentinel. Moving games to Orlando is cited as a way of selling more merchandise such as t-shirts and increasing the prices of tickets to games in Jacksonville.
According to USA Today, Jaguars owner Wayne Weaver's team is doing poorly, both on and off the field. Weaver says specifically that he is most inclined to move games to Orlando if the NFL expands its regular season schedule to 18 games as proposed by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.
News4Jax.com states that the Jaguars have lost 17,000 season ticket holders from just a year ago. Apparently another NFL team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, are also looking into playing games in Orlando.
