James Franco is Joining 'General Hospital'
General Hospital will welcome James Franco to Port Charles.
The "Spider-Man" and "Pineapple Express" actor James Franco is heading to Port Charles for two months and joining "General Hospital."
People reported that Franco approached the daytime soap about joining the cast according to SoapNet. He will play a new character in "GH" who will torment mobster Jason Morgan.
"We are thrilled to announce that James Franco will play an integral part in a lengthy run on General Hospital' this fall," executive producer Jill Farren Phelps said. "It's an honor that an actor of James' caliber would choose to spend some of his valuable time in Port Charles."
With so much buzz on the death of soap operas, maybe this is the move they need to get more attention. Franco will start his stint on the show Nov. 20.
