Jane Austen’s ’Pride and Prejudice’ Gets Zombie Makeover

Zombies and classics...hmm...

Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice is one of the most well-known books in our culture, and already has its own fair share of film adaptations. The most interesting is based on the best-selling book Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, written by Seth Grahame-Smith. Since the book is an expansion of the original, Jane Austen is credited as well, whether she likes it or not.

Natalie Portman has recently signed on to star and produce in the movie adaptation, which throws a zombie-twist into the well-known love story. Basically, the main character, Elizabeth Bennet, will be a 19th century Buffy, only with zombies and...and love.

Sounds silly, right? Well, so do a lot of movies when they're first pitched, and still a good amount by the time they hit theaters. The book seems to have done well, so, if pulled off right, the movie could have promise.
