Janet's Mystery Illness Revealed
After weeks of curiosity as to what was mysteriously ailing pop superstar Janet Jackson, her rep released a statement that the singer was suffering from migraines, according to People magazine.
The statement revealed that Jackson was suffering from vestibular migraines, which affect the inner area of the ear and can cause the sensation of vertigo.
Her rep said Jackson is receiving treatment for the migraines and is ready to get back to her "Rock Witchu" tour.
"[Jackson is] a world-class entertainer and needs to be at the top of her game to give her fans the show they expect," the star's manager, Kenneth Crear, said in the statement. "She's feeling much better and is ready to hit the road again."
Jackson's Madison Square Garden performance, which she was unable to perform, has been rescheduled for Nov. 1. The singer is set to resume her tour Wednesday night at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C.
Jackson has canceled her performances since she was admitted to a Montreal-area hospital in late September for an illness that was not disclosed.
The 42-year-old singer's rep said new dates for the postponed concerts will be released soon.
