Javier Bardem Might Join Julia Roberts

Reports claim Bardem might co-star with America's leading lady.

Javier Bardem is currently in talks to portray Julia Roberts' leading man in "Eat, Pray, Love." Roberts has already been cast as Elizabeth Gilbert in the Ryan Murphy-directed and written story of Gilbert's life, based on her memoir, according to imdb.com.The film revolves around Gilbert and her adventurous existence as she travels around the world after a painful divorce and the want to get pregnant. Bardem could possibly play the Felipe role, the man that Gilbert falls in love with on her self-discovery journey.

Producing the screenplay, Brad Pitt and Dede Gardner are setting it up through their production company Plan B.

Richard Jenkins ("Burn After Reading") is already signed on to star too. The movie is set to be released in 2011.

In other casting news, Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal are re-teaming after their roles in "Brokeback Mountain." Hathaway and Gyllenhaal will star as an unhappy couple in an adaptation of Jim Reidy's novel "Hard Sell: Confessions of a Viagra Salesman."
