Jaycee Dugard 'Fully Cooperating' with Police
Jaycee Dugard is fully prepared to testify against her kidnappers, Phillip and Nancy Garrido, if the case goes to trial, Duggard's lawyer told People.
"Jaycee understands and appreciates that some absolutely terrible things were done to her and fully appreciates that those people need to be held accountable, and as a result of that she is fully cooperating with the law enforcement agencies involved in the prosecution," said McGregor Scott.
Phillip Garrido, abducted Dugard 18 years ago, as she walked to her school bus stop in South Lake Tahoe.
Scott, who now works at a law firm, took the case pro-bono in order to set up a trust fund for the family. He worked in law enforcement in the state during the time of Dugards disappearance.
"We failed and I include myself in that. We failed Jaycee Dugard. And this is some way to make up for that," Scott says.
