Jennie Garth Returns to "90210"

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Jennie Garth will walk the halls of West Beverly Hills High once again as she joins CW for a spin-off of Beverly Hills, 90210.

MSNBC says Garth will reprise her character from the original series, Kelly Taylor, but this time as the school's guidance counselor. Garth's character won't be a regular, but it will bring "the new show closer to the traditional formula of a spin-off, featuring a character from the original series."

The spin-off is expected to be the main piece "of the network's 'upfront' programming presentation to advertisers in mid-May."

Garth, 36, was previously in WB's What I like About You and a contestant in ABC's Dancing with the Stars.
