Jennifer Garner, 39, has spoken out in an interview about marrying young and her divorce with actor Scott Foley. She described her marriage and subsequent divorce as one of her biggest regrets. The star, who is currently married to Ben Affleck, is now pregnant with their third child.
The Daily Mail reported on the newspaper interview conducted by the Sun, quoting Garner as saying, "I wish I'd known to wait for marriage until I was 30 or over. I did marry in my twenties and I found divorce a crushing experience."
Garner and Foley met when she was 22 on the set of Felicity and they were married in 2000. The marriage only lasted for four years. Garner stated that she never thought "the divorce statistics would apply to me and I was beyond heartbroken when they did."
Garner met Affleck soon after her divorce and they were married in 2005. They now have two daughters; Violet, 6 and Seraphina, 3 and they're viewed as one of the few stable families in Hollywood.
The NY Daily News reported that Garner spoke of Affleck as "the base of my life" and "an incredibly loving and generous man. I expected he would be a great father and he is."
Luckily, she didn't lose her faith in marriage, or men.
