Jennifer Hudson Is Expecting

Grammy-winning singer and Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson has officially been confirmed as a mom-to-be, as a baby shower took place in her honor this weekend in downtown Chicago, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Felicia Fields, a close friend of Hudson's, informed the paper that the event occurred on Saturday (May 30).

"It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family," Fields, also a singer and actress, said. "They're really trying to keep it kind of quiet."

When asked if Hudson received blue or pink gifts, Fields replied that they did not know the gender of the baby, and the color scheme was kept to yellow.

The Chicago Sun Times also reported that Hudson is seven months along.

Hudson and fiance David Otunga, who is a Harvard educated lawyer and now wrestler, have also kept quiet about their wedding date.
