Jennifer Lopez opens up on judging 'American Idol' and what her priorities are (Video)

Jennifer Lopez is the master of multi-tasking. Not only is she going into her second season as a judge on FOX’s American Idol, she is also working with ex-husband, Marc Anthony on their Latin network show, Q'Viva: The Chosen. However, building her empire and making sure the right people go to Hollywood isn’t her main priority, so what is?

Lopez states, “The babies first and making sure that they’re ok. When they’re ok then I can put my mind on other things and really concentrate on work.”

Despite Idol’s faltering ratings, the Latin diva gushed about her role as a judge to Fox stating, “there’s nothing else like [Idol], there really isn’t. I feel lucky just to be a part of it and to be able to have a say in who goes through and who I feel is so talented that the world needs to see.”

Although she gushes about her passion as a judge on American Idol, Lopez opened up in an interview with Access Hollywood where she admits that she was “pretty close" to not returning to her role as a judge. She opens up about the “rollercoaster” of emotions she was going through, comparing her first season as judge, along with the breakup of her marriage, to “asking a fighter if he wants to fight again…NO!!”
