Jennifer Lopez producing Carmen Sandiego movie

Millions of kids spend hours playing "Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?" on their computers, and now the hottest female thief of computer games is coming to the big screen.

Deadline reported Walden Media and singer/actress Jennifer Lopez teamed up to work on a live-action film based on the game.

The movie will follow Sandiego on her journey to becoming the best thief in the world while her former partner tries to catch her, questioning if she's a villain or a hero every step of the way.

On The Red Carpet reported the game is assimilated into elementary school curriculum around the country.

The future film won't be Carmen Sandiego's acting debut. In the '90s she starred in her own animated TV show.

And Lopez is also a pretty busy lady. She just wrapped filming on What to Expect When You're Expecting, with Cameron Diaz, and will soon be back at the judge's table for the 11th season of American Idol.

Rumors also surfaced that she would film in the movie as its titular character, but that has yet to be confirmed.
