If Jessica Biel’s philosophy on health is worth mentioning, then Jennifer Love Hewitt takes being a positive role model to another level.
With a culture fixated with weight, it is no wonder many women find themselves trapped by the numbers on their bathroom scales.
In order to combat this debilitating obsession, however, Love Hewitt refuses to step on a scale outside the doctor’s office. “I don’t have scales anymore and I don’t weigh myself. I would urge women everywhere to throw out their scales,” she stated. “Even when I go to the doctor’s office I’m like, ‘Don’t tell me’. Just write it on your chart and don’t tell me.’ It does you no good to know,” she further urged.
Love Hewitt has found a renewed sense of self-confidence since the breakup with her scale and has even turned her efforts to the younger female population.
"When I meet young girls, I’m always like, ‘Just do me one favor,’" she said last month.
“Love what you look like right now — and remember I said it 10 years from now because it’s the greatest gift I can give.”
How fitting is it that TV’s Ghost Whisper can predict the future?
