Jennifer Love Hewitt Serious About Shaping Up

The actress and singer told People magazine she is shaping up to feel better on the inside.

After some not-so-flattering pictures hit the tabloid circuit, actress and singer Jennifer Love Hewitt is taking her workout regime seriously, but she says it is to feel better about herself and not to impress the tabloids, according to People magazine.

"I'm getting ready to turn 30 and get married and all those things," Hewitt said. "This year was my year to try to glow from within and feel better."

A noticeably slimmer Hewitt made an appearance on Saturday at the Los Angeles Runway for Life, where she described her workout routine.

"I workout about four or five days a week," she said. "I love to run - that's good."

In addition to cardio, Hewitt said she mixes in strength training to tone her body.

"I'm perfecting my pushup right now," she said. "And the plank pose is very inspiring - where you're up on your elbows and your legs are out, and it's just your stomach holding your body up. Very cool."

Hewitt said she enjoys making her health a top priority in her life.

"The better you are in your mind, body and spirit, the better everything goes for you in your life," she said.
