Jenny McCarthy Thinks Denis Leary Is "Stupid"
Does Jenny McCarthy have anything to say about Denis Leary's new book, Why We Suck: A Feel-Good Guide to Staying Fat, Loud, Lazy and Stupid, where he is said to have cracked jokes about people with autism?
Oh yeah, as Us Magazine reports that the actress spoke out to Access Hollywood on the issue, calling Leary, "Stupid."
"Whoo! First of all, let me tell you, the autism community has received probably 10,000 emails [saying] Go kill him! Go yell at him."
Surprisingly, according to McCarthy, it wouldn't be worth it.
She continued, "[But] it's so hard to even get up enough juice in me or energy in me to even try to fight someone that is obviously stupid."
According to newspapers, in his new book, Leary refers to people diagnosed with autism, a brain development disorder impairing communications skills, as being stupid, lazy, or both.
"This community has been through so much and to compare and use the word dumb-ass lazy with autism, it's just not fair," said McCarthy.
Perhaps saving Leary from any harsher comments is that the actress has not read the book.
She continued, "Mind you, I have not read his chapter that he has said he has been misunderstood, so I can't comment much."
The issue hits close to home for McCarthy who has had to help her own son, Evan, through the hardships associated with autism.
