Jessica Alba has been busy lately promoting The Honest Company and the accompanying website, Honest.com, a new site that sells safe and eco-friendly baby products. But aside from her busy career, she’s also a wife and a mother of two daughters, Honor, 3, and Haven, 5 months.
The actress says family is her favorite job that doesn’t feel like a job at all.
“It feels like it's life and what I always should have been doing,” she said recently. “I feel like I've come into my own.”
A growing family and the pressures of celebrity, however, often put a strain on the A-lister to keep a balance of work and a successful marriage in the public eye. Alba, 30, says that she and husband of nearly four years, Cash Warren, maintain a happy marriage by taking time to slow down and spend it with one another.
Alba appeared on the Rachael Ray Show and revealed that although it's hard at times to spend time with her husband and not take it all for granted, her secret to a successful marriage is to balance work and family by setting a day for alone time.
"I've been with my husband for nine years now," Alba told Rachael Ray, according to Us Weekly. "You get really comfortable and you don't always make time for each other. You can tend to take each other for granted. So we do try and set aside time at least once a week."
