Jessica Simpson, who recently confirmed that she is indeed pregnant with fiancé, former NFL player, Eric Johnson, is articulating that they may wait until after the baby is born to get married.
“They're both still really committed to getting married, and were both really into making decisions about what kind of wedding they wanted," a source told People.
The insider also verified that the nuptials were initially planned to happen this month, but are now being postponed.
"It's just going to be at a later date now [because] they really want to enjoy this time in their lives,” the source added. "They're both very family-oriented and having a baby is something they both wanted.”
Simpson herself confirmed the same notion. "When I got engaged, everyone thought I would get married immediately, but I have not put a single dress on,” the 31-year-old singer said, according to MTV News. “We're just enjoying being engaged right now, and that's honest."
