Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo decide to part ways.

Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo have decided to end their relationship reports MTV news.

The couple, who had been dating since 2007, split up the day before Simpson's 29th birthday.

A source close to Simpson told People that she is heartbroken, but that they are both very busy with their careers at the moment and it was for the best.

Simpson cancelled her Ken & Barbie-themed birthday party and tweeted about it on her big day.

"Barbie party didn't happen, but I turned 29 and feel like I am on top of the world yelling I love getting older."

Simpson's breakup with Romo comes weeks after her ex-husband, Nick Lachey's breakup with Vanessa Minillo. Maybe they are both planning to revamp their careers again with a Newlyweds part two. Only time will tell.
