Jessica Simpson is back to reality
Jessica Simpson is making a comeback to reality television with a new show, called "The Price of Beauty," to be aired on VH1 in 2010, according to Rollingstone.com.
The show, executively produced by Simpson and her father, according to MTV.com, will feature the singer traveling the world to explore and try what other cultures find beautiful.
The announcement came Monday after it was heard late last month about the possibility of Simpson starring in a new reality show. She previously appeared in MTV's show, "Newlyweds," from August 2003 to March 2005, with then-husband Nick Lachey, according to Rollingstone.com.
Simpson's new endeavor comes after her stab at becoming a country singer last year with the album, "Do You Know," and her recent but non-flourishing film appearances.
Simpson said she believes beauty comes from within and is looking forward to the show, according to the New York Daily News. She came under much scrutiny earlier this year for her weight and attire, according to MTV.com.
The show is set to begin filming in mid-July.
