Jessica Simpson confirms pregnancy

While it wasn't really a well-kept secret, Jessica Simpson announced her pregnancy confirmed her pregnancy Monday and she wasn't paid a dime.

Reuters reported the 31-year-old teased fans with a suggestive Twitter comment Friday.

"!!!ANNOUNCEMENT!!!" she wrote, adding a link to a post on her website that said, "It's true—I am going to be a mummy."

Below the message was a photo of her dressed as a mummy holding her belly Beyonce VMA 2011 style.

E! News reported the baby will be both Simpson and fiancé, Eric Johnson's, first child.

For weeks Simpson has been photographed out and about with a protruding belly. And what began as rumors that she was just gaining a lot of weight, turned into reports that the recently turned billionaire was waiting to confirm her pregnancy so she could make hundreds of thousands of dollars selling the news and pictures to magazines.

No news on the gender or due date of the baby. It might take $500,000 for that piece of gossip.
