Jessica Simpson has finally confirmed that she and fiancé Eric Johnson are expecting their first child together, and now she can’t get enough of talking about it.
While attending the launch of a clothing line that Simpson and her younger sister, Ashlee Simpson, created at Dylan's Candy Bar in New York City, 31-year-old Simpson told People, "I think it's a girl,” before following up with "But I don't know yet."
Johnson, on the other hand, agrees to disagree. "I think it's a boy," he said, “We're pretty much at a standstill there."
The former NFL player revealed that the couple will definitely find out the sex of their baby, unlike couples who choose to keep it a surprise.
"I don't think we can wait," he said. "Jessica is too honest about everything, she needs to know. I don't think she can hold that secret to herself."
The fashion designer and singer quipped that the baby will be dressed girly either way, as she said "If it's a boy, I'll put him in tutus!"
THe New York Daily News reports that it was the Simpson sister’s mother, Tina, who suggested the two work together on a girls’ line.
“My mother thought it would be great to combine both of our styles, both of our personalities,” said the older Simpson. While they have created the tween line, they enjoyed working together so much that they have decided to create a maternity and baby line.
