Jessica Simpson Isn't Jealous

There may not be a whole lot of difference between their looks and their music, but there is at least one thing that separates Jessica Simpson and Carrie Underwood: One of them has Tony Romo. The other does not.

In an interview for the September issue, Underwood told Allure magazine that Romo, her ex-boyfriend and quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, was still calling her, but she doesn't always answer. Simpson isn't jealous, though, and she says she's not buying Underwood's story. According to FOX News, Nick Lachey's ex-wife told a Nashville radio station that her current squeeze had definitely not been in touch with Underwood. "I checked his call log," she said, immediately clarifying that she was joking and she and Romo had both gotten "a chuckle out of it."

FOX also noted that Underwood isn't the only cute blond country singer on the newsstands this coming month. Apparently Simpson spoke with Elle magazine for its own September issue, telling the interviewer that Romo is "the first person I've spiritually connected with."
