Jessica Simpson Treated For Kidney Infection

According toAccess Hollywood, Jessica Simpson checked into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Friday for a minor kidney infection. She stayed under observation through the weekend and was recently released.

Simpson's new boyfriend, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, was unable to be at her hospital bedside because his busy schedule required him to be in Dallas at the time.

Rumors began earlier this month that the celebrity couple recently became engaged, but both Simpson and Romo have denied the reports.

Romo and Simpson's couple status became public knowledge around Thanksgiving last year and they have since spent time traveling to places such as Hawaii and meeting each other's families.

Simpson has been working diligently on her upcoming country music album. Fans are anticipating Simpson's new sound as it will differ slightly from her previous pop music albums.
