Jessica Simpson's "A Little Bit Country"

Two years since the release of her last studio recording "Public Affair," entertainer Jessica Simpson is currently in the process of recording a new country album to be released this year.

Reuters reports that Simpson has always entertained the idea of releasing a country album when the timing seemed right. Citing famed country artists Martina McBride, Shania Twain, Faith Hill, and Reba McEntire as inspiration, Simpson is seeking to be more creatively involved by penning her own tunes.

"Blonde Ambition", Simpson's current acting project, can now be found on dvd release.
