Jet Li Throws in the Towel

Fearless tells the story of martial arts master Fok Yuanjia (Jet Li). Yuanjia suffers a personal tragedy, which causes him to go into seclusion. However, political turmoil puts the pressure on him to return and to uphold the honor of his country. "Fearless" will be Li's last martial arts film.

However, even though Li decided to leave the martial arts scene, he will not leave the big screen all together. Li has been quoted in saying, "it wasn't enough to have a strong body, you had to have a strong soul." This new attitude reflects his new career interests.

Li plans to focus more on philosophical and intellectually stimulating films. Li is a Buddhist, and is heavily involved with charity.
