Jets Early Success Attributed to New Coach
New York Daily News reports that this year's New York Jets have been clearly stamped by their new rookie head coach, Rex Ryan, son of legendary NFL coach Buddy Ryan. Rex, who spent the last several seasons as defensive coordinator for the hard-hitting Baltimore Ravens, wanted to bring that same attitude of football to the Jets, and so far, with the Jets being 3-0, it looks like he did.
According to ESPN's Tim Graham, the Jets might be in need of a reality check and can't let their early success go to their head. They still have a rookie quarterback and a rookie head coach, which generally isn't a recipe for success.
In other Jets news, The Star-Ledger - NJ.com reports that Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez has been named NFL Rookie of the Month.
