Jim Carrey a Grandfather

Jim Carrey has officially added a new role to his list of many over the years: the comedian can call himself a grandfather.

Carrey’s 22-year-old daughter Jane gave birth Friday to a son, Jackson Riley Santana. She and husband, Blood Money front man Alex Santana, welcomed their bundle of joy at 12:28 a.m.

The baby, weighing 7 lbs. 11 oz and measuring 20 inches long, was born a few days shy of his March 3 due date, according to the New York Daily News.

Carrey, 48, could not keep his excitement to himself throughout the week. On Tuesday, the comedian tweeted, “Something beautiful is right around the corner!” On Friday, he tweeted an addendum, saying, “right [sic] around the corner! ;^)”

Carrey’s long time girlfriend Jenny McCarthy also tweeted on Friday, simply saying “TGIF.”

This is the first child for Jane, a singer, and her husband.
