Jimmy Rollins aka Nostradamus?

Jimmy Rollins has been on a forcasting role as of late and Phillies fans hope their star shortstop can back up his talk

Jimmy Rollins warms up prior to game 4 of the NLCS in Philadelphia

Earlier in the season Jimmy Rollins predicted the Yankees and Phillies would meet in the latest edition of the fall classic. Phillies fans can only hope their shortstop's latest prediction is as accurate.

Appearing on the Jay Leno show Monday night Rollins predicted the Phillies would win the series in 5 games.

"Of course we're going to win," he said "If we're nice we'll let it go six (games), but I'm thinking five. Close it out at home."

As Yankees catcher Jorge Posada put it, Rollins has been a "Nostradamus" as of late.

Rollins string of correct predictions began before the 2007 season when he declared the Phillies the team to beat in the NL East, not the division favorite New York Mets. He backed that statement up with an MVP season and a division championship for the Phillies.

Last season Rollins predicted 100 wins for the Phillies. They got 92 in the regular season, followed by 11 more in the playoffs en route to a World Series championship.

Yankee captain Derek Jeter doesn't seem too convinced in Rollins prowess as a baseball prophet.

"You make enough predictions, I guess you'd be right most of the time, right?" Jeter said.

Yankee fans can only hope that Jeter is right and that Rollins string of forecasting luck has finally run out.
