Joaquin Phoenix Tries Hip-Hop
He may have been Johnny Cash on film, but Joaquin Phoenix is making moves to become a musician in real life. To make matters more interesting, Phoenix has decided to explore the world of hip-hop.
Emerging with an unkempt beard, Phoenix debuted his hip-hop set at the Las Vegas club, Lavo.
The 34-year-old delivered three songs from his album. There are rumors that the album will be produced by Sean Combs.
Just in case you can't attend, Casey Affleck, Phoenix's brother-in-law, is shooting a documentary about Joaquin.
"Are there people out there who think I'm a joke? I'm sure there will be. Are there people who think it's going to suck? Probably, but I can't worry about that," Phoenix told press.
Back in October 2008, Phoenix announced that he was retiring from acting. He won a Golden Globe and a Grammy for his work as Johnny Cash in the film, Walk the Line.
