Joe and Katherine Jackson Have Control
Despite Joe Jackson's surprise appearance at the BET Awards last night, he was not quiet about the way things were going in the media and with the people that were around Michael in his last days. According to the Washington Post, Jackson made it known in his strongest conviction to-date that he and his wife, Katherine, would be looking over their son's affairs.
In a statement Jackson made on the red carpet before going into the Shrine Auditorium, he said that he and his wife have the "personal and legal authority to act, and solely have authority for our son and his children."
There are so many people behind the Jackson family but they are only letting a select few close enough to help them plan global memorial services. Those people are Rev. Jesse Jackson and Rev. Al Sharpton, who flew in from New York to help the family, also according to the Washington Post.
Despite everything surrounding Michael's sudden death, Joe Jackson said that he hopes people will remember his son as "the greatest star in the world," and rightfully so. Michael was the greatest and what he has done has yet to be matched and probably never will be.
