Joe Jonas Will Guest Judge on "American Idol"
Joe Jonas has been confirmed as a guest judge on "American Idol."
A rep for the singer confirmed that Jonas will join regular judges Simon Cowell, Kara DioGuardi and Randy Jackson when the show stops in Dallas on Monday. He will be one of the multiple stars temporarily filling the place left by Paula Abdul when she quit the show earlier this month.
Kelly Clarkson had been one of the celebrities rumored to guest judge but Us Weekly reported that her rep said the first American Idol winner won't be judging on the show anytime soon.
Jonas has appeared on "Idol" before as a performer with his brothers in 2008. This time around, he joins the ranks of other celebrity judges such as Victoria Beckham, Mary J. Blige, Katy Perry and Shania Twain.
Currently Jonas, along with brothers Nick and Kevin, is on the road in support of the Jonas Brothers album "Lines, Vines and Trying Times." The North American tour closes at the end of the month. The trio then heads to Europe for the second part of their tour. The group will also be busy filming a sequel to their movie "Camp Rock."
Apart from his brothers, the 19-year-old Jonas is also rumored to have a part in the upcoming romantic comedy "Valentine's Day" alongside Taylor Lautner of "Twilight" and Jonas's ex Taylor Swift.
