Joey Fatone Wants to Join Other "Dancing" Stars
Hoping to follow the quick steps of another former boy band heartthrob, season two winner Drew Lachey, ex-NSYNC member Joey Fatone says he wants to show off his footwork on the fourth season of Dancing with the Stars.
Fatone told Orlando's 104.1 FM, Friday morning, that he was approached several times to appear on the show, but only became interested recently because "it's kind of popular now."
Since the group split, Fatone has honed his acting and dancing skills on Broadway with appearances in Rent and Little Shop of Horrors, which he will likely use to his advantage on Dancing, along with the moves he picked up from his boy band years.
Fatone joins an ever-increasing roster of stars speculated to be competing on the show, including Sarah Ferguson, Regis Philbin, Melissa Joan Hart, Jose Conseco and Star Jones Reynolds.
ABC says the official lineup will be announced later, while the show's fourth season is set for a March premiere.
Along with Lachey, soap star Kelly Monaco and pro football player Emmitt Smith have also been crowned champions on ABC's monstrous hit show.
