Johansson and Reynolds Wed in Canada

Actor Ryan Reynolds and actress Scarlett Johansson wed on Saturday in a wildlife reserve in Canada.

After a four-month engagement and a year of dating, actors Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson tied the knot in a small ceremony in Reynolds's hometown of Vancouver, British Columbia, according to eFluxMedia.

Guests of the discrete ceremony included close friends and family on both sides.

Johansson, 23, and Reynolds, 31, began dating last year and have made a point of keeping their relationship out of the public eye. They became engaged in May but were reluctant to release details about their relationship to the media.

In an interview with the Associated Press last month, Johansson confirmed her engagement to Reynolds but said the two were "just enjoying our time." She also said she was young and felt no need to rush into a marriage. Johansson said no date had been set for the nuptials.

This is the first marriage for both actors. Reynolds was engaged for five years to singer Alanis Morissette. Their relationship ended in February 2007. Morissette has since wished Reynolds and Johansson the best of luck in interviews.

Johansson has been linked to Justin Timberlake and Josh Hartnett but has historically remained tight-lipped about her love life.

The couple started dating in 2007.
